Sarah Palin Nude
Sunday, October 5th, 2008

The Olde Towne Ale House on Chicago’s North side has something few bars in America have… a nude portrait of a Vice Presidential candidate.
Sarah Palin was painted nude, holding an automatic rifle, by bar co-owner Bruce Elliott.
“I had never heard of her before, like everyone else. I find her bizarrely fascinating, even though I pretty much despise everything she stands for.” - Bruce Elliott, artist
(Source)
Even though Elliott has a crush on Governor Palin, he refuses to vote for the McCain-Palin ticket, saying: “I’m not going to support the worst pilot in the history of the American Navy.” (Source) Mr. Elliott plans to vote for Obama-Biden.

Spin Baby Spin!
Saturday, October 4th, 2008

In case you had some idea that the so-called “Straight Talk Express” candidates were, you know dealing in “straight talk” consider this ad, (at left) that they ran a bit pre-maturely.
They were in such a hurry to get the spin out they forgot to find a “famous person” who would go along with the pre-scripted praise for Palin’s debate performance.
Embarrassing? Not if you’re shameless.

Twitternalysis of the Veep Debate
Friday, October 3rd, 2008

The Twitterers were hard at it again last night tweeting through the debate. Here are some selected highlights:
stevehoff: 2) Palin blaming crisis on “Predatory Lenders”. banks=bad/borrowers=good What happened to GOP mantra of personal responsibility?
kerryank: Crap - hard to tell who the biggest bimbo is in this debate!
bitterpurl: how do people think Palin “exceeded expectations” when she didn’t answer any questions? must’ve been the winking
verybigjen: I saw a powerful and intelligent woman during the #vpdebate last night - unfortunately it was the moderator.
yoga_mama: My.02: Palin did better than I thought she would, but Biden was stellar! He holds a balance between accessibility and countenance
lunarboy: Is Sarah Palin George W. Bush 2.0? She’s trying to charm her way through
mugwump2: If Palin were a river, she’d be the Platte: Wide sparkling surface, but an inch deep.
smith1022: so if mccain is maverick, is palin goose? is obama iceman? that’s cool, iceman rocks.
joshbuckner: Most important Biden/Palin distinction: the VP powers question. Palin endorses unchecked executive power. That’s not democracy.
orbitaldiamonds: She’s a “maverick.” That means she can change her mind as many times as she wants (apparently).
fusedlogic: Biden talked about his family situation with real emotion, then stomped on the Maverick BS…won him the debate
JSto: Sarah Palin reminds me of Dolores Umbridge
freeplay: sarah palin is very good at answering the questions she feels like answering, which are not the ones she’s asked
erinely: Think Palin did well? She charmed you. Read the debate transcript. She spoke gibberish. http://twurl.nl/ryuu8u

McCain Attacks Obama - Using Biden
Saturday, August 23rd, 2008
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDVUPqoowf8]
John McCain’s campaign wasted no time in using the Biden nomination to further their negative campaigning, taking two clips from the primary and inserting them together into an attack ad (above). The question on many Democrats minds this morning is, does Biden do more good or more harm to Obama’s election bid?
Biden has a lot of negatives as a Veep candidate, as Politico ably points out here.
But the fact of the matter is, despite his negatives, most big D, Democrats approve of Joe Biden. He’s recognized as a real statesman, and his foreign policy experience is a plus for the ticket. He did vote for the Iraq invasion, as did virtually all the Senate, but he also has some of the best ideas on solving the Iraq mess now.
Time will tell if Biden was a wise choice, and certainly the McCain campaign is hoping that he makes one of his famous verbal blunders, but if he keeps his wits about him, he can lend an air of gravitas to the ticket.
Also Obama is bound to carry Delaware now.
