Smog Eating Concrete? Someone Call Beijing!
Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Apparently the Dutch don’t spend all their time getting high and visiting prostitutes, (yes I’m kidding - of course I know they do!). The small Dutch town of Hengelo is trying out a special concrete that turns car exhaust into “harmless nitrates.”
In laboratory conditions, the additive — under the influence of sunlight — binds the nitrogen oxide particles emitted by car exhausts and turns them into harmless nitrates.
“With one rain shower everything is washed clean,” the institution said in a statement. - Source
I see an enormous business opportunity in Beijing assuming they can deliver 100 Million Tons by tomorrow.
